Arredomar AM 46 Fly

A very interesting brand-new boat recently created by Sergio and Renzo Marchi's Arredomar: the AM46Fly has a rather unique and unusual design. Externally the AM46 Fly focuses the attention on the futuristic project of the windshield, on its round and streamlined features and on the cockpit and aft deck solutions. It is the dome-shaped windshield that immediately attracts the observer's attention, though we particularly liked the cockpit's solutions (especially the two aft settee, the "rounded" cockpit coaming, the shower etc.).

Even the internal layout is interesting and elegant: it features three separate cabins (the forward double berth cabin and the two guest cabins: the port one with twin berths, and the starboard with upper and lower berth. There are two well-appointed heads (the guest one has a double entrance).

In the saloon, besides the steering position which is simple and functional, one finds a facing double dinette, an adjustable table, and a rational solution for the galley which is composed of two units on which the various components are housed. The flying bridge is worthy of mention: it has easy access form the cockpit, and it is composed of a large sundeck and a roll-bar, a fully equipped and functional instrument panel, and an extremely spacious sitting area.

From the navigating point of view, the AM46Fly does not betray the expectations of a trustworthy boat, with respectable top speed: Arredomar demonstrates its capacity to engineer with the same expertise, and professional craftsmanship (I forgot to underline that the interior is finished with wooden fittings of extraordinary quality) both sailboats and sophisticated motoryachts.

It is a double and demanding venture: the Morgana 72' and the AM46 Fly are perfect demonstrations of how this challenge has been tackled and won by Arredomar.
