COLOMBO - ROMANCE 32
The Romance 32's sea trail has been performed in excellent weather
conditions where this beautiful classic-styled boat, built by the
Italy based Giacomo Colombo yard, has been admired in all her
elegance. Designed to satisfy the demanding customer who
appreciate quality craftsmanship, seakeepness and time-proofed
lines, the boat feature accurate finishing throughout.
The superb mahogany deck and the innovative hydraulically-actuated cockpit
awning (just like on luxury convertible car) are only two
examples of this philosophy, and the same high quality
construction criteria is found below deck.
Here the Romance 32 offer a comfortable cabin with a spacious bed to the fore
end, a living area with settee, refrigerator and lockers and a
separated bathroom with standing head-room.
The particular construction technique which combine fiberglass and
wood has been used by the yard, on some units of its production
range, since 1972 and surely is the perfect choice for the Romance
32. The deck, stern and hull side planking are entirely built from
mahogany wood, while structures (longitudinal girders and frames)
are in fiberglass together with the hull bottom. The result is a
low maintenance boat also thanks to the particular epoxy resin
finishing applied on all wooden parts.
The test has show the true elegant spirit of this boat,
emphasized, if possible, by the unexpected presence on board of
Enrica, the beautiful girl who is the thirteen most beautiful girl
in Italy as stated by the last Miss Italy beauty contest, who has
perfectly construed the first lady role on a first class boat: not
by chance the tested 32 Romance has been suitably christened
"Sophisticated Lady".
