DALLA PIETÀ DP 55 ASTERION
Nobody can dispute the success, both commercial and of visitors,
obtained by the DP 55' Asterion at the last Genova boat show. The
project is the result of the collaboration of Trezzi & Valsechi
N.A., based on Dalla Pietà's yard hull design. On boarding
this yacht for the sea trials, what captivates the eyes is the
clear mixture of handcrafting and innovation, almost a delicate
balance between old and new, a lecture in style and class totally
blended with avant-garde technological solutions. The DP 55'
Asterion is in fact a well balanced mix, both internally and
externally, of long cherished traditions and modern boat building
techniques without overdoing in both senses.
The on deck area is
enriched by the teak wood and a profusion of modern technologies;
inside, the three beautiful cabins,
each with private bathrooms,
the saloon with stepped flooring and two dinettes, the galley
located half deck below the saloon.... all yielding very
comfortable living conditions and affording privacy without
sacrificing the life in common concept typical of these crafts'
range. This splendid habitat is enriched by a sober yet elegant
styling design while the carpentry high finishing standard is
clear indication that there are still in Italy yard capable to
treat wood without useless attachments thus leaving untouched the
natural live wood characteristic.
All this donate brightness and
vitality to the entire craft, a must in this boat's class. During
the sea trial the weather was on our side: we left the yard's wet
basin under a typical late fall venetian lagoon condition with low
mist and gray sky but after clearing the Malamocco harbor, we meet
moderate sea and clear skies: an almost ideal condition for the
trials we were to undergo. The DP 55' Asterion gave us a spell of
great and exhilarating navigation; perfectly at ease on the short
swelled sea and exceptionally smooth on the braking peaks and
finally, totally safe and noise insulated on reaching the 33 plus
knots range. A perfectly balanced yacht under any consideration
with a plus in the interesting quality/cost rapport considering
the complete top of the line professional standard equipment
installed on board.
