MONDOMARINE MONDO 84
The Mondo 84 is an accurate ensemble of technology and design
where style and elegance are emphasized by the excellent
craftsmanship. The yacht, built by Mondomarine on Aldo Cichero
design, has many, if not all, the features one should expect from
top class yachts. The internal lay-out include: four cabins with
en-suite bathroom, crew quater, a spacious galley,
a main saloon with separated dinning area, and the navigation bridge.
Habitability and excellent joiner work are common characteristic
of all the internal spaces, where exotic woods have been widely
used. The Mondo 84 main features are: large side walks, a spacious
cockpit, a huge flying-bridge with double access and a spacious
fore deck, ensuring safety and comfort in all conditions. On this
yacht technology means safety and rationality as well. The double
access to the engine room, the flying-bridge hydraulic cranes, the
stern and bow mooring winches, the twin hydraulic actuated transom
hatches offering a large swim-platform, are just some examples. In
fact the Mondo 84 feature an incredible list of standard equipment
such as: bow-thrust, air conditioning, water-maker, two gen. sets
and a useful integrated alarm and monitoring system ensuring
safety on board. In conclusion the Mondo 84 is a high quality
product which perfectly represent the Italian maxi-yacht industry.

Average miles range, at a given rpm, is obtained
dividing the total fuel capacity (4000 liters) for the
"liters/mile" corresponding to the entered rpm. Plotted fuel
consumption is declared by the engines' manufacturer: tuning of
the engines, weight of persons, stores, etc... on board, hull
conditions and propeller type can effect the real fuel consumption.
CONSTRUCTION PARTICULARS

Steering station: the navigation bridge is placed above the
main saloon, with electronic monitoring panels, CCD Cat, compass,
GPS, auto-pilot, 98 miles radar, plotter, wind station, depth-sounder,
2 VHF, SSB, intercom system, alarms station, navigation
lights with double circuit, potholes, watertight doors and bilge
alarms, smoke detectors in all cabins, professional 25 kW bow - thrust.
Galley: separated from the main saloon with cooking top,
sinks, hanging lockers, furniture, aspirator, oven, 4
refrigerators for a total of 3000 liters, granite working top,
sewage compacting treating equipment. The crew service area is
placed next to the galley and include: two 1500 liters freezers,
washing machine with dryer, TV set, stereo system, L shaped sofa
with marble top table, fully hidden ironing-board, watertight door
to the starboard side walkway.
Chart table: placed to the dashboard's side with settee,
chart-holder, drawers, light and meteo station.
ACCESSORIES
Standard equipment: two gen. sets, air conditioning in all
cabins, complete second steering station in the flying-bridge,
water-maker, air-compressor, two boilers, saloon fully hidden
entertainment center with TV, VCR and stereo system, TV and VCR in
the owner, VIP and master cabins, stereo system in all cabins.

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
Seakeeping: the yacht has performed a stable and smooth
navigation with bow sea and wind. Wave impact occurs with no
vibrations which, together with the excellent maneuverability,
ensure comfort on board.
Rudder and trim tabs response: very precise and effective.
Visibility: excellent
Docking capabilities: thanks to the professional mooring
equipment on board (bow thrust and mooring winches) the Mondo 84 is always safe to maneuver.
COMFORT AND FUNCTIONALLY EVALUATION
Construction material and detailing:
Lockers number and place:
Deck: spacious and safe to walk with a large sun bathing
area on the fore deck; excellent mooring equipment and very
practical access door to the crew service area.
Flying-bridge: one of the most spacious area of the Mondo
84, equipped with practical and useful accessories.
Interiors: particular care has been put on joiner work and
subdivision. the staircases and passage areas are very practical and elegant.
Passengers comfort: excellent both from the comfort and
privacy point of views. The standard safety equipment is really complete.
Steering comfort: excellent with perfect visibility both
from the flying-bridge and the internal steering station.
Chart table: spacious and practical.
Galley: the lay-out concept
(with separated zones for refrigerators and accessories) is very interesting and
comfortable. The large windows provides light and ventilation.
Bathrooms: the yacht feature a bathroom for each
cabin, and a day-bathroom is available in the main saloon.
Engine room space: entrance to the engine room is ensure by
two compass doors, on eon each side. The engine room is spacious with comfortable working space.
Electrical plant: well built and rationally placed.
WHAT WE LIKED MOST
the outside leaving areas feature innovative
architectural concepts, as on the flying-bridge, and the fully
hidden and hydraulically actuated swimming platform. The safety
and standard equipment is really complete thus achieving a
remarkable cost/quality ratio. |
