FIPA MAIORA 38
The Fipa range, made up of over 20 metre long motoryachts, has been enhanced by a new flagship, Maiora 38, presently under construction, which those in charge of the boatyard in Massarosa expect to launch by summer 2004. Judging by the images we have previewed, the aesthetics of this superyacht firmly maintain those features that characterise all the Fipa boats, making them easy to spot, while showing an even more evolved design, a formal project aimed at integrating the large volumes belonging to the boat with the equally vast areas of the deck, using a mix of harder and softer lines that give impetus to the whole layout. Made in fibreglass, to the standards necessary for RINA class, Malta Cross 100-A-1.1, the Maiora 38 offers a below deck area that can give maximum privacy; no less than 5 cabins. These are divided as follows: the owner's located in the bow with double bed, sofas, dressing room and en suite bathroom with tub and two washbasins; two guest cabins amidships each with twin beds and their own bathrooms; two VIP cabins, situated astern, equipped with internal bathrooms and separate shower cabins plus wardrobes. Whereas the quarters for the master and crew are positioned right in the bow, divided up into three cabins, of which one has three beds and the others two, plus two bathrooms. A large part of the main deck is taken up by the saloon, accessible from the cockpit and the left-hand side gangways. This is in itself a huge area, made even more lighty and airy thanks to the large side windows under which the sofas of the living area have obviously been placed together with the relative service furniture, a cocktail cabinet with ice maker and fridge, opposite an area with a card table. Further to the bow there is the owner's study and a dining area for 10 guests, the latter astern of the internal control station. There are also two "day" bathrooms that serve the whole area. Finally there is the galley, big enough to be divided up into cooking and washing areas, a zone for preparation of dishes by the chef and lunch dinette for the crew. The exterior layout includes a garage on the bridgehouse, big enough for a tender, jet-ski and relative crane for handling. Then there is the fly with pilot station to the left, a dining area seating more than 10 people, a cocktail cabinet with fridge, sink and barbecue, plus spacious sundeck.
