At Fitzroy Yachts, the New Zealand shipyard, work began in February on Zulu, a new sloop with aluminium hull. Despite its size and the generous sail area Zulu does not require a large crew thanks to numerous electro-hydraulic aids which facilitate all manoeuvres. The interiors comprise a spacious owner's cabin and three guest cabins, all with en-suite bathroom, and two cabins for the crew near the bows, also en-suite. The living area can accommodate eight people in the dining area and has a separate lounge equipped with a wide range of electronic apparatus for relaxation. The design is by Dubois Naval Architecture & Yacht Design, while the layout of the interiors is the work of Redman Whitely Dixon. This sloop is for those interested in serious cruising, for whom performance and comfort are the most important factors alongside the possibility to have a small crew.
