CANADOS 86 "MINOU"
The Canados boatyard of Rome presented the Canados 86
"Minou" at the last Genoa boat show. This is a fibreglass
motor yacht with a deep V hull, a maximum speed of 33 knots
and a cruising speed of 29, powered by two 1.800 HP
engines. It is designed on three levels, the topmost being
a flying bridge equipped with auxiliary steering controls,
a relaxation area with spacious sundeck, a U-shaped sofa,
two tables, a bar and, aft, the support for the tender. On
the main deck there is a spacious sundeck forward while the
cockpit, complete with dining table and sofa, is almost
entirely sheltered by the extension of the flying bridge
towards the stern.
There is also access to the saloon,
which is very large and divided into two zones: a dining
area with table and chairs and a leisure area with sofas,
coffee tables, bar and multimedia accessories. Farther
forward, the bridge has its control station on the port
side and a semicircular sofa with round table on the
starboard side. The lower deck is the night-time area,
divided into six cabins: the owner's suite amidships, which
occupies the entire width of the hull, two cabins aft with
bunk beds and three forward, one with a double bed, one
with bunk beds and the other a VIP cabin with double bed.
All the cabins have a private bathroom.
The owner's suite,
with separate shower and bathtub, is equipped with dressing
table, office corner, sofa and dressing room. The interiors
were all designed by the Salvagn studio in Rome which, to
satisfy the customer's requirements, suggested a sober,
very elegant style with a rational division of the internal
spaces. The external lines are classic and characterised by
the slender forms of the deckhouse side-windows,
harmoniously inserted and letting plenty of light into the
saloon and the dining area. Decisive but soft and well
integrated lines give the Canados 86 that touch of
personality which will never be outdated, thanks to her
balanced form and the absence of stylistic exaggeration.
