ROYAL HUISMAN "ANTARES"
The 132-foot ketch "Antares" is under construction in the Dutch Royal Huisman main yard. The naval architecture and the exteriors are the result of the work carried out by the Bill Dixon Studio while the interiors were designed by the Dick Young Studio. The ketch-rigged yacht will be fitted with Rondal carbon fiber masts and winches. The idea of fitting a wheelhouse permitted the construction of two separate helm stations.
The one in open air, with two steering wheels and relative settees, is fitted behind the relaxation area in the cockpit which includes settees and table. The tender garage is fitted forward of the mainmast. Belowdecks there is to port the dinette with a table and two sofas and to starboard the inner helm station and a third sofa. From here one can access to the Owner and guest staterooms, located aft as well as to a salon and relaxation area located forward. The Owner stateroom is very ample and includes the double bed, a relaxation corner and office corner with en suite bathroom.
Forward of this there is to starboard the guest stateroom with twin beds and to port the VIP stateroom. Both have en suite bathroom with shower stall. The bow area includes comfortable and deluxe spaces for leisure. To starboard there is the dining area fitted with eight chairs and a large table while to port there is a salon with a J-shaped sofa and a cocktail table for relaxation and conversation. Forward of the salon there is the office, which on request may be replaced by a third guest stateroom with double bed. From the office to the tip of the bow there are the crew quarters made up of three cabins - one with double bed and two with twin bunks, all having en suite bathroom - the crew dinette and a comfortable galley with table.
