The Viareggio shipyard C.B.I. is working on a new 112' motoryacht in collaboration with the Umberto Tavaglini Design Studio and with the Service Rapallo. The naval architecture is by C.B.I. and by the De Vries Lentsch Studio. The construction materials are steel for the bottom and aluminium for the superstructure. The concept for this motoryacht is classic, emphasised by the design of the round stern, by the large bulkworks and by the dislocating bottom.

The project calls for four decks, with the guest and crew cabins on the lower one. Guests have two twin VIP cabins astern and two cabins, with separate beds, amidships, all with private bath, while the crew members are provided with four cabins, accommodating a total of six. In addition, the crew quarters have three bathrooms and a laundry area. On the main deck, in the interior forward area, there is a large, elegant owner's suite, with double bed and bathroom complete with all services and jacuzzi. Moving aft, we find a long corridor to starboard and, on the opposite side, the galley with dining area and an office corner. At the end of the corridor, we enter the large saloon, furnished with four sofas and a coffee table. Coming out into the cockpit, we find an outdoor area for informal meals. The upper deck has the interior steering station, equipped with latest- generation instrumentation, another galley area and the main dining area, seating twelve. In the open air, the deck extension offers another area for dining or cocktails and an area for the tenders, which can be manoeuvred with a davit. This deck features a corridor that runs the length of the superstructure's perimeter and is the equivalent of a balcony with a view of the sea. On the sundeck, we find a cushioned area for sunbathing, as well as the exterior steering station. The Caterpillar motorization installed, with an overall power of 970 HP, gives the 112' a declared cruising speed of 10 knots, more than sufficient for a dislocating bottom that has top-of-the-line comfort in its favour.
