OPACMARE GALACTICA DAVIT

Galactica is the Opacmare series of davits dedicated exclusively to super- yachts and currently represents the company's cutting edge product, with a load capacity ranging from basic 1,000 kg to top-of-the-range 2,500 kg models. The arm can be extended to 6.50 metres, which combines with its considerable load capacity guarantee safety even when handling large tenders located on the upper deck. The davit has been designed to fit well into the modern elegant contexts of the majority of super-yachts in circulation and has unobtrusive technical qualities that are the result of heavy investment by Opacmare. The body of the davit is in high yield steel with surface metallization treatment and marine-type painting cycle, which gives the whole structure high resistance to salt corrosion. The fibreglass fairing with which Galactica is equipped has powerful incorporated spotlights for illuminating the work area. Hydraulic movement of the davit is powered by a hydraulic unit controlled by a 4 kW 380V electric motor (50 Hz three-phase) and by an electronic 24V DC control gear case. The hydraulic motor unit enables the davit to rotate horizontally, while its sophisticated hydraulic cylinder systems power lifting and arm extension. Movement of the lifting cable is entrusted to a hydraulic hoist.
