FEADSHIP "HIGH CHAPARRAL"

"High Chaparral" was launched on 3rd April this year at the De Vries Shipyard. It is a 164' motoryacht built by the Dutch shipyard Feadship. Design of this luxurious yacht was entrusted to the De Voogt Naval Architects Studio, responsible for the boat's architecture and to the Terence Disdale Design studio for the interior design. The hull is entirely in steel, while aluminium has been used for the upper-works. For the internal fittings materials such as oak have been used for the areas reserved for the owner and his guests and ash for the crew's quarters. As this is a large motor-yacht, built for a very demanding owner, the fittings include all the apparatus and accessories dedicated to total on-board comfort.

The structure, covering four decks, comprises carefully designed, very refined rooms. The owner's area on the main deck is an example of how a luxurious apartment can be built inside a hull. The owner in fact has at his disposal a large private zone complete with everything necessary for long pleasant periods spent on board. As well as the king size bed, we find a relaxation corner with sofa and flat screen TV, roomy dressing room, bathroom with shower, tub and facilities, private study and fitness room. The lower deck is in part dedicated to the guest area, who have at their disposal two VIP cabins with bathrooms and private dressing rooms and two cabins with twin beds and private bathroom. While the rest of the deck houses the crew's quarters with five bunk-bed cabins. A sixth crew cabin is located on the upper deck and is reserved for the skipper. This deck is the steering deck and comprises the full-beam command station, equipped with complete modern instrumentation. The interiors also include two saloons with their own dining tables and bar corners, galley with a food lift linking one deck with another. Outside we find an area for eating in the open air in the cockpit, roomy platform astern, handy for sunbathing and sundeck with helipad platform, dinette with cocktail cabinet and special area for sun worshippers. Special attention has been paid to safety at sea.

The "High Chaparral" has been built to MCA standards, Lloyd's Maltese Cross 100A1 SSC classified and has also been equipped with a mixed water/inert gas fire fighting system.
