Royal Huisman is about to launch a 36-m motoryacht designed by the Tony Castro Ltd naval-architecture studio and by Dick Young Designs (interior decor). The Dutch shipyard, after having produced so many prestigious sailing super-yachts, has now turned to a long-range motor cruiser, with delivery scheduled for April 2006. The designers have created very spacious areas on three decks, plus the sundeck. The lower deck houses the crew quarters and the guests' night area, separated so as to guarantee privacy for both.

Three actual suites have been designed for guests, two for VIPs and the third with separate, floor-level beds, all cabins with private bath. In the same area, we find a relaxation area, with sofas, cocktail table and multimedia systems. The crew quarters consist of three cabins, including a double cabin, a relaxation area and bath. The main deck has the common areas, such as the saloon with its sofas and games table, the dining area seating eight, a large galley and service bath and owner's suite forward. This suite has been equipped with all the accessories necessary for maximum comfort. On the exterior, as well, the deck has extremely liveable areas, such as the cockpit, in which an open-air dining table can be set up. On the main deck, we find the full-beam navigating bridge with relaxation corner, astern of which is the master's cabin and a saloon. The stern extension of this deck has an open-air dinette; the two onboard tenders are housed in this area as well. The cushioned sundeck has been equipped with a circular jacuzzi.

As far as safety is concerned, "Arcadia" will be built according to MCA and Lloyd's criteria and equipped with the latest electronic communication- and navigation aids. The underbody designed by Tony Castro includes VT Naiad stabilisers, which will ensure comfort when both cruising and at anchor.
