BURGER "SYCARA"
On summer 2007 is set the launch of "Sycara", a 44 - metre motoryacht built by the American Burger Boat Company, according to the Fantail Cruiser styling of the early twelfth century, except for using the ultimate inventions in engineering, technology, materials and systems. In fact "Syncara" will be the first American yacht in Alustar, a very special robust and corrosion - resistant alloy. Concerning design from the begin on the owners collaborated with the Project Manager Steve Narkawicz and the Burger Design Team in developing this yacht, whose striking hull was by Bruce King. Graig Bale from Pure Detail and Ken Freivokh teamed up for designing interior; the latter worked at developing external details too. The fore bottom shape is typical of schooners while aft the great transom rake recalls old ships. Several details empathize a feel of an old yacht: bow sprit, circular hatches along sides and superstructures, whose square line design is enriched by the mast antenna and funnel; both raise on the upper deck. Her first hull model was tested at Davidson Laboratory of the Steven Institute and with very positive results, since performance foreseen in the design phase has been proved.
