NEWS
THE FIRST TWO LIMITED EDITIONS AMELS ALREADY SOLD
Despite the project for the 52-metre Limited Editions being
introduced only last September, in occasion of the Monaco Yacht
Show, the Dutch shipbuilders Amels have already signed contracts
for two of these units. The "Limited Editions" are yachts made on
standard Amels platforms, a solution which allows buyers to focus
on customizing details, while significantly shortening building
times. The basis project consists of a modern-design motoryacht by
Tim Heywood, and warm interiors, designed by Laura Sessa;
nonetheless, the versatility of this Amels solution allows plenty
of room for personal finishing touches. On the first of these
yachts, the customer could have part of the interiors designed by
an architect of his choice, while for the second, the customer
asked for a wider superstructure, thus turning the yacht into a
wide open. For further information: Amels; P.O. Box 84; 4380 AB

RODRIQUEZ CANTIERI NAVALI TWO YACHTS FOR YACHTPLUS
YachtPlus and Rodriquez Cantieri Navali have signed an agreement
for two superyachts, with the option for another group of eight
models. The two new 40-metre yachts will be known as YachtPlus 40
"Signature Series", and will be designed by the famous London
architects Foster and Partners. This agreement has been an idea by
YachtPlus, who wished to widen their range of luxury services. As
a matter of fact, such collaboration will allow the Anglo Italian
group YachtPlus to offer their customers a unique time-share
solution. The first order, the delivery of which is expected by
June 2007, will launch the fleet of these time-share yachts, which
will have a maximum of eight owners, and which will be managed by
Rodriquez Cantieri Navali. With this solution, the eight owners
will be able to enjoy luxury yachts, crew included. They will be
docked in the Mediterranean during the summer and the Caribbean in
winter, thus sparing the owners the worry of management. The two
YachtPlus 40 "Signature Series" will be built in the Luxury Yacht
Division of Rodriquez Cantieri Navali. For further information,

A BENETTI LAUNCHED BY ESAOM CESA
On January 28th, Esaom Cesa of Portoferraio have launched a 31.50-
metre boat by Benetti. This boat was first launched in the 1960s,
after being built by the Viareggio shipyard; in 2004, its complete
refurbishment was entrusted to Esaom Cesa, who, as instructed by
"Studio Guida" in Naples, have completely removed the interiors
and part of its structures. The boat has been then completely
refurbished, both internally and externally, but without modifying
its original design. The upper bridge has been partly extended,
while the electrics, plumbing and electronics have been
modernized. For further information: Esaom Cesa; via G.

ABILITY: THE 119TH STEEL BOAT FOR CRN
On December 17th, CRN have launched their 119th boat, a
displacement 54-metre superyacht, built in steel and aluminium,
called "Ability". For CRN, this new boat is the icing on the cake
after a time of unprecedented market success. The figures explain
the situation clearly: as a matter of fact, CRN have sold 17 boats
between 30 and 72 metres in the past six months; while in the
Ancona and Fano boatyards 25 yachts are being built, as well as
five composite material Custom Line models and six fully-custom
CRN yachts. In other words, we can visibly see the market success
of the shipyard which is part of the Ferretti Group, which have
had a turnover of 130,000,00 Euro in the nautical year 2005, and
the value of whose production has grown from 28,500,000 in the
year 2000, to the present 114,000,000; their projected turnover is
expected to be of 135,560,00 Euro in 2006. Since CRN have joined
the Ferretti Group in the year 2000, there has been a constant
upward trend, which just last year has reached its peak with +19%.
The success of these shipbuilders can be summed up by the wide
choice of items on the market, ranging from displacement boats
(fully custom-made in steel and aluminium) by CRN, to composite
material Custom Line boats, with displacement, semi-displacement
and planning boats. Moreover, there have been large investments in
the development of infrastructures (about 23,000,00 Euro over five
years), and an obviously successful marketing policy. For further
information, pleas contact: CRN; via Enrico Mattei 26; 60125

PERINI NAVI CELEBRATES THE LAUNCH OF ROSEHEARTY
Perini Navi have recently launched their "Rosehearty" SY, the
third model of the 56-metre ketch designed by this Viareggio
shipbuilders in collaboration with Ron Holland Design.
"Rosehearty", just like its sisters "Burrasca" and "Santa Maria",
has been optimized to give high performance whilst sailing. This
is thanks to the wide sail area and to a displacement of 486,000
kg, mainly due to the abundant use of aluminium both in the hull
and the superstructures. These factors have also helped contain
the weight of the two carbon fibre booms (made for the first time
by Perini Navi themselves), thanks to a new special facility in
their Viareggio shipyards. The 56-metre "Rosehearty" is
characterized by an unmistakeable Perini Navi exterior design, and
interiors which originally combine nautical and contemporary
elements. For further information: Perini Navi; via M. Coppino

CODECASA A NEW SHIPYARD IN VIAREGGIO
The expansion of their range of products, as well as the several
recently finalized sale contracts, have led Codecasa shipyard to
increase their production structures by opening another facility,
their fourth, in the docks of Viareggio. The new yard will
exclusively build products from their "Open" range, which
presently counts the models Codecasa 35s and Codecasa 41s, the
former of which will be completed before spring 2007; while the
year 2006 will see the launch of the second Codecasa 51 and of a
Codecasa 62. Both yachts are to be delivered during the summer.
The shipbuilders will then start the production of the new
Codecasa 43 and of the first Codecasa 65, the delivery of which is
expected in spring 2008. For further information: Cantieri Navali

RODRIQUEZ YACHTS FIVE YACHTS SOLD IN THE STATES
Rodriquez Yachts, designers and builders of large luxury yachts, a
new business field where the Rodriquez Group (Immsi Group) can
exploit the significant synergies from all the companies it
manages, have entered the American market by selling five boats in
a short lapse of time. In the US market, Rodriquez Yachts will
introduce the "Sport" and "Widebody" lines, derived from the Conam
range, as well as the "Custom" and "Collezione di Rodriquez
Yachts" lines, for boats ranging from 14 to 50 metres. The models,
exhibited at the Miami Fair and introduced in the American market,
will be called Rodriquez Yachts 500 Sport, 600 Sport and WB and
800 WB. Wide spaces, better technology, to ensure comfort while
sailing, and Italian style: such are the characteristics of
Rodriquez yachts which have had a positive effect on American
customers. From the "500 Sport", a casual and yet powerful open
yacht, which, despite being the smallest of this range, is very
spacious; to the "600 Sport Silver Edition", an aggressive and
elegant yacht; to the "800 WideBody", which embodies the concept
of a full beam boat, and which has become a design philosophy for
Rodriquez, the same philosophy we can find in the 38-metre Custom.
Marco Ragazzini, Managing Director of the Rodriquez Group, has
declared: "We are very proud of our entry in the American market.
We believe that high-technology and wide interiors spaces, which
have always been a characteristic of Rodriquez yachts, can be a
determining factor in this market". For further information,
please visit www.rodriquez.it.
