AMER 92

The new Amer 92 which has been built along the lines of the Amer 86, epitomizes great changes for the PerMare Group. The novelty lies with the renewed water lines even more so than with general restyling. The water lines, that's where the new project started from, over 26 metres of LOA with good marine attributes, 2x1.670HP engines pushing the boat along at 34.1 knots all out whilst containing consumption at cruising speeds - the development of a new, longer and wider keel was based on that very efficiency of power . PerMare will be amongst the very first yards to fit the new Caterpillar C32 ACERT engines of 1.925 BHP confirming the ever lasting faith it has placed in the brand. Developed to fit in the highly specialized tunnels, the propulsion units will be fitted with six blades and V-drive ZF inverters. The quality of the project and the special care the yard invests into weight reduction - which is why the Amer keels are layered using a vacuum based technique - should therefore produce a boat with navigational characteristics on the lines of the 86's. These will in fact contribute the entire know how the yard developed vis- à-vis of noise and vibration reduction and diffusion - indeed, an on board computer will be dedicated to that very task thereby supporting the avant-guarde methods of construction and use, of modern building materials. Largely thanks to the new internal layout squeezing every inch of space to give more room to the cabins, the boat promises great comfort. Its greater size has brought more space all round ranging from the decks to the fly which now even boasts a Jacuzzi as well as the sunbathing and outer dining area for the guests to enjoy. Since all Amer boats are in fact custom built and there is therefore no standard interior layout, we'll limit our description to stating that the boat under construction presents a very large galley and dining area, as well as a saloon where plenty of room is certainly not amiss confirming just how pleasant space on board really is going to be. Access to the lower deck and hence to the night quarters, is placed amidships and turning to the stern we find the owner's cabin running along the full beam, whilst stepping towards the bows would take us to three further cabins: one large VIP suite plus two more for the guests. The crews' quarters are unchanged in respect of the 86's layout and stay where they were: two cabins for three crew. Just like the 86 before it, it's worth mentioning that the Amer 92' can motor on a single engine for a long haul by just applying slight changes to the design. A good thing to have on slow night jaunts, saves quite a bit of fuel too!
