![]() JONGERT 2900 MY![]() Jongert presented its project on how it intends tackling the motor super yacht market at the last Monaco Yacht Show. The 2900 MY represents a succulent opportunity for the shipyard's fans which numbers a great many sailors and motor yacht lovers, principally, because Dutchman Guido de Groot's design blatantly recalls the style that has always characterised Jongert's previous models. The Dutchman decided on a semi displacing hull for the 2900 motor yacht with an interesting volume inside allowing for spacious solutions. The European version foresees 4 double berth cabins, two of which are VIP ones as well as an opportunely isolated area reserved for the yacht owner for the sake of privacy. The areas in common also benefit from the yacht's spaciousness and the saloon and dining area are a fine welcoming example. The exterior space is also next to none and furnished to ensure a relaxing time both when at anchor or at sea. The fly bridge sports a full beam wheelhouse which is protected from the sky above by an aluminium structure. The very same material is used for the hull and the yacht's superstructure. There is a range of solutions to guarantee comfort on board among which stabilizers, considered by many yacht owners now as being indispensable specially for rounded hull motor yachts. Jongert says that this model is only the first of a series of motor yachts it intends to produce between 27 and 40 metres without excluding the possibility of a 60 metre one as well.
