GULF CRAFT BAGS PAKISTAN'S COAST GUARD
Gulf Craft, the shipyard based in the United Arab Emirates,
has just launched twelve naval units for Pakistan's Coast
Guard. The event represents the end of a first phase of
investments involving the Emirates shipyard that the Pakistani
government is making to bolster its Coast Guard. Six of the
twelve fibre glass boats launched, are 36' long and six are
20' long in accordance to the specifications requested by the
Coast Guard through its dealer in Pakistan. The shipyard's
management believes that this order as those that will follow
from other governments will enhance existing reputation thus
enabling it to concentrate also on the production of similar
boats, commented Erwin Bamps. Gulf Craft currently exports 70%
of its production, which sports on average around 600 boats
per year, through an international network of distributors
which it wants to strengthen so as to increase its share in
foreign markets. At the moment Gulf Craft is represented by
its dealers in more than 40 countries and recently new
distributors have been appointed in Florida, Egypt, Norway,
Italy and Hong Kong. For further information please visit:
