![]() DUBAI MARITIME CITY![]() This time, instead of talking about a specific company that supplies services to superyachts, we intend to talk about the world's biggest hub dedicated to the care of vessels, be they merchant ships, pleasure craft or military. We're talking about Dubai Maritime City, a project under way which will make the Arab Emirate city a point of reference for owners and shipping companies. The project is developed over an area of more than 2.27 million square metres, situated between Port Rashid and the Dubai dry docks.
The infrastructures now being built include roads, goods transport systems, five office tower blocks, a crew club, large shopping areas, hotels and service flats, business and services centres, waterfront offices for shipping companies, port offices, a port service flat complex, parks and open spaces and access to the seafront promenade. When we add the vocational training centres for ship's personnel and the presence of every kind of service for vessels, crews, passengers and goods in transit, it becomes clear that Dubai Maritime City is really an example of thinking big, like everything else that is springing up in the area.
