Dubai Maritime City

This time, instead of talking about a specific company that supplies services to superyachts, we intend to talk about the world's biggest hub dedicated to the care of vessels, be they merchant ships, pleasure craft or military. We're talking about Dubai Maritime City, a project under way which will make the Arab Emirate city a point of reference for owners and shipping companies. The project is developed over an area of more than 2.27 million square metres, situated between Port Rashid and the Dubai dry docks.

Dubai Maritime City

The infrastructures now being built include roads, goods transport systems, five office tower blocks, a crew club, large shopping areas, hotels and service flats, business and services centres, waterfront offices for shipping companies, port offices, a port service flat complex, parks and open spaces and access to the seafront promenade. When we add the vocational training centres for ship's personnel and the presence of every kind of service for vessels, crews, passengers and goods in transit, it becomes clear that Dubai Maritime City is really an example of thinking big, like everything else that is springing up in the area.

Dubai Maritime City Divided into various zones, Dubai Maritime City also includes shipyards with direct access to the sea, moorings for cargo and passenger vessels of all sizes, dry and floating docks for intervention on any type of hull, and technical assistance services for both merchant vessels and large yachts. There are suppliers of all possible technical materials that might be required during interventions, plus a goods and container handling system based on modern criteria that ensure rapid checking and management of all movements.

Dubai Maritime City An actual hub for the convergence of vessels from all over the world, cargoes to be forwarded elsewhere and vessels in need of maintenance or repair. Not to mention crews who see Dubai as the ideal base port for the winter months: if they are joined by their families they can count on comfort and services of every kind. A real maritime complex where companies from all over the world specialised in maritime services of every nature will shortly be operating, and where any vessel in transit will find her needs satisfied. The owner may even consider the idea of making Dubai her home port.
