![]() MOONEN SHIPYARDS MOONEN 97![]() The Dutch shipyard Moonen is in the process of building the second cruiser of its 97' model. The cruiser is taking shape under the careful care of naval architects from the Diana Yacht Design team while the displacing steel hull is designed by René van der Velden. The superstructure, fully reflecting the natural evolution from Moonen's 96' model "Clementine," launched in 2005, will be in aluminium. The main characteristic of the new 97 footer is a larger flying bridge with a Jacuzzi in substitution of the previous version's wheelhouse and sundeck. The sleeping area will count four large cabins for the owner and his guests. To enhance the yacht's cruising prerogatives, the crew's quarters have been generously enlarged, more room has been given to storage space and fuel tank capacity has been increased. This second Moonen's 97 model will comply to MCA parameters and to the Lloyd's Register Classification. Its launching is scheduled for the first half of 2008.
