Behind the great boats the whole world of Italian boating
With this second number, we continue our magazine's roundup of
news, projects, technical aspects and technological innovations in the
world of superyachts. The whole as additional pages to the usual
February issue of "Nautica".
We're not interested in gossip, just information, in depth where
possible for users, so that it is easier to make the right choice
based on content.
This is the only sector in boating that is detached from possible
crises, that is continuing to post successes, even in a more
reflective way, during this moment of global economic difficulty.
Comparison regards quality, safety, and maybe more than elsewhere,
price. Boatyards all over the world able to construct large pleasure
craft - often as an alternative to
paramilitary boats and those for fast transport- used to be counted in
tens. Today there are hundreds if not more than a thousand. This
explains the attention that they give to market trends and
consequently, as they are indeed the only ones with the means, to
research into new, increasingly lighter and more resistant materials.
So, from a technological aspect they are the only ones able to give to
boating constructions and to boating in a general sense those
prospects for development that are doubtless necessary for the future.
And this "Superyacht Special" is the contribution our magazine wants
to make to a section that acts as flywheel for the whole sector,
keeping employment figures up and opening up global work prospects for
those involved. The boatyards have understood this desire of ours and
are working side by side with us. We thank them for this attitude and
wish everyone involved a profitable cooperation.
"Superyacht" is an editorial project of "Nautica" magazine,
addressed to all professional and amateur members of large boats
worldwide. A reference media for all leisure boating operators which
is already an opinion leader.
Created as a section of "Nautica" it has rapidly become a successful
supplement and now it is a separate international English edition with
30.000 copies circulation. It will be distributed on a worldwide
basis in the main marina, in the most important international airports
and in the major newsagents in the capital cities.
It will be published at least four times per year with issues in
March, June, September and December. An order form
is available to subscribe to the english edition. The Italian edition will be
enclosed within the usual 50.000 copies of "Nautica".
The secret of the success of "Superyacht"? Precisely the same editorial
plan borrowed from "Nautica": news, market, techniques,
didactis, designs and opinions.
The subject are the boats over 24 meters and all the world around
them such as: economic and political opinions, market, new trends,
the boats, shipyards, accessories, on board computerization, captains,
tourist ports, marinas, landings, assistance and facilities on land,
refitting, survayer activity, crew, nautical tourism, planning, design
didactics on innovations, technical evolution, certification, leasing,
insurance, international regulations
